I'm a week late with this so I'm going to make it short (apologies! )
I loved this episode. I loved how much it made me love Locke, I loved how much it made me love Sawyer, I loved how it didn't show Juliet's death again (which would have been a total 8 times, although Sawyer being sad and throwing the ring into the ocean was kind of just as devastating. If the two of them don't end up together in alternate reality universe, I'm going to cry. Literally).
I love that Locke is happy in alternate universe land! He has Helen! He doesn't have an evil father! He has a job as a high school substitute at a high school where Ben also teaches! (The plot thickens).
I understand why Locke/Helen chose to tear up Jack's business card, but I'm kind of upset, because that storyline would have been AWESOME. (Although maybe it's not over, we'll have to wait and see.) That said, Alternateuniverse!Locke would have gone, I think, because he would have wanted to take a leap of faith in hope of a cure. Of course, Alternateuniverse!Locke also alienated Helen and had a horrible life, so I shouldn't complain.
Random observation: Is it just me, or are the episodes so far following the characters in the same order that season one did? (Like, started with general flashback, followed by Kate-centric, followed by Locke-centric) I glanced at imdb and it looks like it's going to continue like that for a while, but maybe I'm wrong. Anyone?
